The Sparco brand was started in 1977 by a pair of racing drivers that shared a passion for racing safety. In 1978 they produced their first race suit, and began manufacturing other items of safety clothing, including race shoes, gloves, and helmets. All the gloves in the Sparco range are constructed from a double layer Nomex fabric and conform to current FIA 8856-2000 regulations.
