The Performance G78 helmet is Peltor's latest ultra-light weight Tricomp Open-face helmet with integral hearing protection headset allowing clear communication even in extreme noise levels. Weighing in at only 1000g it represents a milestone in the development of rally helmets. Manufactured of Tricomp (a composite of fiberglass, polyarimide and carbon fiber) with an interior of fire-proof Nomex it offers the ultimate protection and reduces strain on the driver's neck muscles. To further reduce strain/injury to the neck HANS post anchors are pre-installed at the factory. The microphone has a "Quick positioning" design for rapid and accurate positioning close to to the mouth, and is noise compensated so that background noise is suppressed by up to 25db across the entire range of speech, giving clarity of speech.
